SPEAKER: Rt Rev J. Bawa

MAIN SCRIPTURE(S): Genesis 17:1 - 14, Exodus 4:24 - 26, 1 Corinthians 11:25

God changed His name from Abram to Abraham so that it would align with the new covenant.

God was going to make Abraham dominate through the new covenant.

The blessings were going to go from generations to generations!

There was to be a tangible component of the covenant (through circumcision, Genesis 17:10)

It represented what was going to come through the men who had to undergo circumcision.

We were already in the plan of God before the coming of Jesus Christ.

In a "circumcision", blood is shed. This was identical to what Jesus was going to do by shedding His blood for us on the cross. Where there is blood there is LIFE.

Hence the covenant was marked with blood and was not to be broken.

There is also the covenant of marriage. In the original plan of GOD it was not to be broken as it was to permanent and broken by death.

There is also the covenant of friendship as it should not be broken as well.

When we receive Jesus Christ in a way we are being circumcised in the inner man.

He is a covenant-keeping God, but if we don't keep it - it won't work for us (covenant). We will no longer be protected by it as we have walked out of it.

The POWER OF THE BLOOD is still strong.

MESSAGE TITLE: There's Always A Way

SPEAKER: Minister Anna Tanyanyiwa

  • There are a number of people who pulled through, who had situations in the Bible, namely Elizabeth, Hannah, Daniel & Jacob.

  • Elizabeth's characteristics which provoked God to help her pull through her situation (barren) were being BLAMELESS and RIGHTEOUS (Luke 1:5 - 9).

  • She walked in God's COMMANDMENTS and was prayerful!

  • Hannah was a prayerful woman and CHALLENGED God through her prayers to get her breakthrough  (1 Samuel 1).

  • With Daniel he faced a lot of opposition but he remained STRONG in His God (Daniel 11:32).

  • Another person who faced situations but pulled through them was Jacob (Genesis 27, 29).

  • Don't let the past torment you!

  • Our Father in heaven will never leave us nor forsake us.

  • Make an altar (praying time) for yourself - it is essential!

  • Read your BIBLE - even in these hard times, ENCOURAGE YOURSELF!

  • Be FAITHFUL in all things!

  • Peaceful Living (Matthew 5:9)

MESSAGE: Perfect Material On God's Building

SPEAKER: Minister Anna Tanyanyiwa

MAIN SCRIPTURES: 1 Corinthians 3:1 - 10

- Don't take your church "for granted"!

- As Christians we must grow up, if we are to become a "perfect material" for God (1 Corinthians 3:1 - 3)

. - We must be exemplary as Christians wherever we go.

- Everyone is important in the house of God. Find something you can do in the house of God (1 Corinthians 3:8).

- In building something you need good materials to have a firm building foundation.

- The bricks on the foundation must be prepared to withstand pressure.

- Same applies with the church today, "the brick on the foundation" must withstand the pressures.

- Are you prepared to stand firm when the pressures and attacks come?

- Hard bricks are the strongest, so you have to be strong.

- If you want to stand for your church; then go ahead, stand for your church.

- Foundation Bricks are willing to carry the burden of the foundation, which is the same for Christians to do in today's world. You have to be willing to forgive and FORGET!

- These are bricks of importance but a portion of it is cut/removed which does not fit into the structure or building.

- These are bricks of importance which are placed in front of the structure or building to make it attractive.

- Say to yourself, "I need to have a good reflection of my church"; wherever you may go!

- Let's have a willing mind to change!

- However; there might be one brick that can collapse or crack everything. Hence look at yourself to see who you are.

- Obeying and serving the Lord

- Loving another.

- You forgive.

- At the end of the day, we will have our reward if we are serving the Lord.

- Know where you are when serving the Lord. Know your weaknesses, know your strengths!

- A QUALITY MATERIAL will enjoy Abraham's blessings.

- God answers prayers in different ways.

MESSAGE: Do Not Give A Place To The Devil

SPEAKER: Server Shadreck Haruzivi

MAIN SCRIPTURES: Revelation 20:2, 7 & 8; Luke 22:31 - 33

How Do We Give A Place To The Devil

  1. Impatience

    - Inability to wait for the Lord.

    - This is one of the greatest traps that is affecting us in the modern day.

     - Because of impatience King Samuel, failed to listen to the instructions of the Lord through the prophet Samuel (1 Samuel 13:7 - 9)

    - Guard against it!

  2. Lust

    - Through staying behind instead of going to war with his army, King David was led into the lust of Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11).

  3. Deception

Through deception the devil has placed a foothold in our lives (Revelations 20:2,7,8 & John 10:10).

  4. Pain

    - The devil did not acknowledge God's protection around Job, but he looked for a way to attack him (Job 1:1,6 - 12 & Job 2:1 - 11).

    - We need God's protection around us.

    - The devil likes to attack our future through "self condemnation".

    - The devil made Ananias and Saphira to lie before the Lord which made them to die (Acts 5:3).

  5. Conclusion

    - Let's live a life of obedience and under the protection of God.

MESSAGE: Spiritual Athletics

SPEAKER: Pastor Trust Bure

MAIN SCRIPTURES: 1 Corinthians 9:24 - 27, Galatians 5:7, Phillipians 3:13 - 14, Acts 20:24, 2 Timothy 4:7

1. RUN WITH AN AIM  (1 Corinthians 9:24 - 27)

-The writer took an illustration from the sports world to teach about the spiritual living through Christianity. - You must run with a purpose (with something in the mind).

- We must serve God with something in the mind. SERVE WITH AN AIM!

- Our minds should be compelled with the prize awaiting for us.

- Don't be in habit of coming to church with a mind which is void or because you don't have a place to go.

- You must come with a heart prepared and ready to worship because there is a PRIZE awaiting!

- Your ambition must be to do what is best for the Lord.

- There are different types of athletics in the world - in the spiritual athletics, the Christian life is a long-distance marathon.

- Some Christians leave their race - because they think its a short distance race.

- It is required to have clear focus during a race - you must focus on Jesus.

2. Stumbling Block (Galatians 5:7, Acts 20:24)

- There are many doctrines that have become stumbling blocks in today's Christian world.

- There are hindrances in the spiritual race.

- You must know and read your bible.

- Where there is TRUTH there is a COUNTERFEIT TRUTH.

- Obstacles in the form of gossip, wrong doctrines, false accusation, opposition, comparing yourself with others etc

- Our race is different from the race of others.

- People who compare themselves with others never reach anywhere in their life.

3. Pressing Toward The Goal (Phillipians 3:13 - 14)

- It is not easy to run in a race because it requires one to strain or exceed himself/herself.

- We must not serve God reluctantly - He doesn't want us to serve as lazy people.

- In the natural world, people have a vision looking towards the future.

- It is important to have a goal in your life - because that is the energy that keeps you moving forward.

- Paul was teaching us to have a spirit of striving towards our goal(s).

- It is useless to start something, and leave it unfinished.

- We must strive to reach the end.

- Vision is the spiritual eye that looks into the future.

1. Finish The Race

2. Straightforward focus - we must maintain a clear focus on Jesus.

- looking behind will distract you.

- don't live in the past.

Two things that hinder Christians:

- double minded.

- indifferent mind.

3. Do not cross the track - keep your focus on the prize or else you'll be disqualified.

4. Maintain progess - you must have your own spiritual tracks in your life.

5. Attire for Racing (Hebrews 12:1)

- to strip off things which might slow us down from serving the Lord (pleasures of the world, devil's equipment, unbelief in our hearts, wordly riches, family ties, sins, gossip, discouragement).

Every race has a starting point. One does not win a prize unless he's at the starting point. The same with Christianity.

MESSAGE: Sabbath Day

SPEAKER: Bishop Emmanuel Bawa

MAIN SCRIPTURES: Col 2:16, Exodus 20:8, Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2

Col 2:16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

Exodus 20:8 - 10 Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God.

For the Sabbath Day, other have said it has to be Saturday nor any other day.

So it has become subject of debate with other churches suggesting that those who meet on Saturday are lost.

Studying carefully the scriptures, the emphasis is not on a particular day but the Sabbath its self and its meaning.

  1. The word Sabbath is also used to mean a sacred day, periods and years. In the Bible, there was what was called a Sabbatical year (50 years Jubilee) where you do not go to work.

  2. Worship is not in a day

Colossians 2:16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath Day."

We take the day as a day of worship - as the day of worshiping the Lord

  1. Jesus said, Sabbath was made for Man and Man was not made for Sabbath

Mark 2:27 "Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath Man should not be bound to a day for them to worship God."

  1. The day is not important

      - What is more important is the Spirit and Purpose of Sabbath Day, not the day itself.

  • Everyday is the day of the Lord

5.Sabbath is meant as:

  - A day of rest and a Holy Day.

- You can work on 6 days, but there has to be day of rest

      Hebrews 4:9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

  1. Right Living

  • Eat well, so that you can work well in the Garden in the of life

  • Rest well and regain strength so that you can work again

  • Sleep well and so that you do not sleep during the time of work.

    - It helps your body to regain strength (your body comes back together).

  • Socialize, so that you learn from others.

    - It helps your physically and emotionally.

  • Exercise to keep yourself healthy and enjoy the life God has given you.

~   TO US THE SABBATH DAY IS EVERYDAY!   ~

MESSAGE: Overcoming The Spirit of Judas Iscariot

SCRIPTURES: Luke 6:13 - 16, Mark 9:38 - 39, John 12:5 - 6, Luke 22:3 - 6

Among Jesus' disciples, there was one who was going to be a traitor (Luke 6:13 - 16).

There is always a Judas in all aspects of your life (relationships, workplaces etc).

There are a lot of Judas' in the Bible, but they are not called by the name "JUDAS".

You need to identify the Judas Iscariots in your life because they will bring you down - you can even be a Judas Iscariot to yourself.

  1. Receiving Jesus Christ

2. Instinction

Also learn to listen to your conscience.

3. Documention in business

  • You should know about documentation in your deals (Jeremiah 32:9 - 10)
  • As people of God, we must be clever and vigilant.

As we go out there, lets be diligent because there are many Judas Iscariot's out there in the world.

DATE: Sunday 28 May 2017

SPEAKER: Bishop Emmanuel Bawa

MAIN SCRIPTURES:  Hebrews 13: 9, Romans 14:17 Ephesians 2:8 - 9, Romans 14: 20

Hebrews 13: 9    "Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so."

Romans 14:17    "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." (KJV)

Sometimes Christians are confused when it comes to foods: what to eat and what not to eat.

There are also other religions that place a very strong emphases on foods, in that certain foods will make you righteous. Also they stae that those who eat certain foods are unclean. Thus confusing many people.

Religion is full of do's and don’ts. Religion is a way of trying to please God from the way people can see it (outside or external).

Praise the Lord we are under the Grace of God!!

Ephesians 2:8 - 9     "For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it." Good News Translation (GNT)

  • Mostly what we eat is what we were taught by our mothers and what we do not eat is what our mothers never ate.
  1. Holiness is not in food.
  • Food does not make us holy nor make us unclean.
  • Righteousness is found in the heart.

From our actions / behaviors: do they reflect how our lives show that Christ is in control?

Romans 14: 20 "For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence."

  1. Separation in the Old Testament.

In the Old Testament it was meant to separate the Children of Israel from other nations as a chosen race.

  • Holiness was manual
  • It was a shadow of the Grace to come
  • Colossians 2:16  "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day"
  1. Clean or Unclean Food.
  • Acts 10: 14-16 Surely not, Lord” Peter replied.”I have never eaten anything unclean,”

The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything unclean that God has made clean.”

This happened three time, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

  1. The Kingdom of God Is Not In Eating Or Drinking.
  • Romans 14:17 "For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."
  1. Food Is For The Body Not for The Spirit
  • The word of God is food for the soul; thus the word of God feeds the soul.
  • Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, ‘It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God
  1. We Must Eat Well To Live Well.

- With a clear heart without fear.

- Colossians 3: 17 "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

7. Pespective of Researchers

- Researchers are now confusing people, stating that if you eat this, it causes cancer. If you do this, it causes cancer, thus people do not know what is right and what is not right.

- We eat by faith.

In conclusion:

  • We are free to eat anything as long its ok for you.
  • Certain foods go well according to our bodies.
  • Do not let anyone JUDGE you, and also do not JUDGE others.
